Specialty Textile Training

Certified in Wool & Rayon/Viscose Textile Care

Our technicians are trained and certified in the care of wool and rayon/viscose materials, helping us make better decisions about chemistry, moisture, agitation and drying on delicate textiles.

Some fabrics still carry risk, such as rayon/viscose that has already browned or worn thin, or dyes that move during testing. When we see that, we tell you before cleaning and recommend the safest option.

  • Rayon / Viscose Care Certified

Not Every Fabric Is Cleaned the Same Way

Before cleaning, we evaluate each piece:

  • Fiber typeCotton, linen, wool, rayon/viscose, polyester, microfiber, olefin or a blend.
  • Fabric constructionFlat weave, velvet, chenille or textured pile, and how the cover is sewn and attached.
  • Cleaning codeThe W, S, W/S or X code on the manufacturer tag.
  • Dye stabilityA test on a hidden spot to see whether any color moves.
  • Existing damageWear, fading, fraying, old stains and residue from past cleanings.
  • Soil levelBody oil on arms and headrests, pet soil, spills and everyday dust.
  • Moisture sensitivityFibers such as rayon/viscose and cotton can shrink, brown or water-mark if over-wet.

Then we select the chemistry, agitation, extraction and drying method for that fabric.

How the Cleaning Goes

  1. Inspect and test the fabric

We read the cleaning code, check the fiber, construction and condition, and test a hidden spot for dye stability.

  2. Pre-treat

Spots, body-oil areas on arms and headrests, and pet accidents get their own treatment.

  3. Clean with the right method

Hot water extraction for sturdy synthetics, low-moisture cleaning with controlled agitation for delicate and natural fibers, and leather products for leather.

  4. Groom and dry

We groom the fabric so it dries evenly and set up air movers. Most pieces are dry in 2 to 4 hours.

Professional Fabric Protector

Protect Your Upholstery After Cleaning

After professional cleaning, an optional fabric protector can be applied to eligible upholstery and textiles. The treatment helps reduce how quickly spills and soils penetrate the fabric, giving you more time to blot spills and making routine maintenance easier. It can also help cleaned fabrics stay looking better between professional cleanings.

Before application, our technicians evaluate the fabric and determine whether protector is appropriate for the material.

Fabric protector does not make furniture stain-proof, waterproof or damage-proof.

Benefits may include:

  • Helps resist liquid spills
  • Helps reduce soil penetration
  • Makes many spills easier to blot
  • Helps protect high-use furniture
  • Helps maintain the appearance of cleaned fabric

Frequently Asked Questions

Most upholstery cleaned with our deep steam method will dry within 2–4 hours, depending on fabric and air circulation.

Cleaning chemistry is selected based on the fiber, soil conditions and customer preference. Product information and SDS documentation are available upon request.

In most cases, yes. We use an enzyme treatment that breaks down the source of the odor, then clean the fabric. This greatly reduces pet odor and removes most stains, although old urine damage can leave lasting discoloration.

Yes. Our cleaners clean and condition leather upholstery carefully to retain its texture and appearance.

We clean microfiber, nylon, polyester, olefin, cotton blends, linen, wool and rayon/viscose, among others. Delicate and natural fabrics are tested first, and if a piece carries risk, we tell you before cleaning.

For typical household use, every 12 to 18 months, or sooner with pets or heavy use.

Yes. Mattresses are cleaned on site to lift surface soil, stains and dust. We use controlled moisture so the mattress isn’t soaked.

“W” means water-based cleaning is allowed, “S” means solvent cleaning only, “W/S” allows either, and “X” means vacuum only. We still test a hidden spot before cleaning.

It’s a gentler method for delicate and natural fabrics. A mild solution and controlled agitation lift soil from the surface fibers, and very little water reaches the cushions or frame.

Yes. Sofas, sectionals and recliners are cleaned in place. Just clear off pillows, blankets and anything on the cushions.

Yes, as an optional add-on after cleaning, for fabrics where it is appropriate. It helps reduce how quickly spills and soils penetrate the fabric, giving you more time to blot. It does not make furniture stain-proof, waterproof or damage-proof, and we check the fabric before applying it.
