To prepare for carpet cleaning, follow these steps:

1. Remove Furniture: Clear the area by removing any furniture, toys, or other items from the carpeted area. This will provide the cleaners with easy access to the entire carpet surface.

2. Vacuum Thoroughly: Before our professional cleaners arrive, vacuum the carpet thoroughly to remove loose dirt, debris, and pet hair. Pay extra attention to high-traffic areas and corners.

3. Point Out Stains and Spots: Please don’t apply store-bought spot removers before we arrive. Their residue can set some stains and make them harder to remove. Just show your technician the spots during the walk-through.

4. Clear Pathways: Ensure that the pathways leading to the carpeted area are clear. This will make it easier for the cleaning technicians to move their equipment and ensure a more efficient and thorough cleaning process.

5. Communicate Special Requirements: If you have specific concerns or areas of focus, such as pet stains, allergies, or delicate fabrics, communicate these to us in advance. This will help us prepare and address your specific needs.

6. Secure Valuables: If you have any valuable or delicate items in the cleaning area, consider moving them to a safe location to avoid any accidental damage during the cleaning process.

7. Plan Ahead For Our Post-service Pointers: Lastly, plan to set aside time for your carpet to dry fully before resuming use of the room. When possible we will set up air movers to improve drying time. We also ask that you leave the plastic “tabs” and “blocks” under your furniture for 48 hours after cleaning. And always use extreme caution when walking from damp carpet onto any hard surface flooring. Now, just enjoy your newly cleaned carpets!

Please secure all breakables and remove small furnishings such as dining room chairs, ottomans, floor lamps, plants or accent tables. That way, we can clean under them before they are put back in place. We cannot move computer equipment, china cabinets, sectional sofas, entertainment centers, beds, antique or fragile furniture.
