Getting ready for professional tile, stone or hardwood cleaning takes only a few minutes. Here’s how to prepare for your appointment:
1. Clear the floor. Move small furniture, rugs, chairs, plants and floor-level decor out of the area so we can reach the whole surface. We don’t move heavy or fragile furniture, appliances or electronics.
2. Sweep or vacuum. Removing loose grit beforehand lets our cleaning time go into grout lines and built-up soil.
3. Skip DIY cleaners beforehand. Please don’t mop with oil soaps, waxes or shine products before we arrive. Residue can interfere with cleaning and make floors slippery.
4. Tell us about the floor. Let us know the floor type if you know it (porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, sealed hardwood), plus any loose tiles, cracked grout, coatings or past treatments.
5. Point out problem areas. Show your technician stubborn stains, grease buildup or high-traffic paths during the walk-through.
6. Plan for pets and drying time. Keep pets out of the work area during cleaning and until the floor is dry. Walk carefully on freshly cleaned hard floors.
