The holiday season during Thanksgiving and Christmas is a time when more residential customers will have their carpets cleaned than any other.
Unfortunately, this is a fact not lost on some less than unethical carpet cleaners.
While most carpet cleaners are hard-working businesses intent on providing residential customers with a good service, there are some who are ready to take advantage of the public by offering a too good to be true price and then rushing through an incomplete job.
When choosing a carpet cleaner, you have three choices:
Choose the carpet cleaner that has a cheap, almost unbelievable low price. Beware prices that are substantially lower than you find from most carpet cleaners in your area. You will likely get the mediocre to downright poor service. These “turn and burn” operators are not about customer service, they are interested in getting in and out quick and on to other jobs.
Choose a “commodity” carpet cleaning company. These companies often skip important steps such as pre-conditioning, neutralizing (balancing the pH), grooming and speed drying. Not providing these steps causes the cleaner to over-wet the carpet and leaves a sticky residue behind. The result? Your carpet gets dirty faster.
