24/7 Water Extraction and Drying in Antioch

If water is coming in right now, call (615) 482-5590. We answer 24 hours a day. Deep Steam Floor Care & Restoration extracts water, dries the structure and cleans carpet, pad and floors after leaks and floods in Antioch homes, apartments and businesses. Our shop is on Riverbend Drive in Nashville.

First steps: stay away from water near outlets or cords, shut off the main water valve or the valve for the leaking fixture, move electronics and papers to a dry room, and take photos of the water and its source before cleanup.

Common Water Problems We See in Antioch

  • Apartment leaks from the unit above. An overflowing tub or a failed washer upstairs can soak carpet and drywall in the unit below. In apartments, the building’s management usually needs to be told right away. We can work with the resident, the property manager or both.
  • Water heaters in closets. In many townhomes and older houses, the water heater sits in a hall or utility closet next to carpeted rooms. When it fails, water spreads under the carpet well past what you can see.
  • Washing machine hoses, ice maker lines and toilet supply lines. These are the most frequent sources we find across Middle Tennessee.
  • AC condensate lines that clog during humid summers and overflow into a hallway or closet.
  • Heavy storms and hard freezes, which push water into lower levels or split pipes in exterior walls.

How We Handle a Water Loss

  1. Inspection and moisture mapping. Moisture meters show where the water went, including under carpet, behind baseboards and into the next room.
  2. Water extraction. Standing water is removed and as much as possible is pulled out of the carpet and pad. The more extraction removes, the faster everything else dries.
  3. Carpet and pad decisions. We explain what can be dried in place and what should come out, room by room, before anything is torn out.
  4. Drying and dehumidification. Air movers and dehumidifiers dry the structure, not just the surface.
  5. Monitoring. We take readings at regular intervals until materials are dry.
  6. Cleaning. Once dry, carpet, upholstery and hard floors are cleaned so the room can be used again.

Rebuilding drywall, baseboards or flooring is a separate step from drying.

Can the Carpet Be Saved?

Often more than people expect, depending on the water and how long it sat. Clean water from a supply line, caught early, can usually be dried in place, and sometimes the pad can too. Pad that has stayed wet for a long time or has started to smell is usually replaced, and it costs far less than new carpet. Water from a washing machine drain, a toilet overflow, sewage or outside flooding is a different category: soaked carpet and pad are generally removed. Tell us where the water came from when you call so we bring the right equipment.

Cost and Insurance

Water damage is priced by the job, since the size of the area, the type of water and the drying time vary so much. We explain the scope before work starts. Photos taken before cleanup are useful for your records and for any insurance claim you choose to file. More details are on our main water damage restoration page, and if mold has already started after a slow leak, see mold remediation.

Water Damage Restoration in Antioch: FAQs

Common questions from Antioch customers. Call or text (615) 482-5590 if yours isn’t here.

Yes. Water damage calls are answered 24 hours a day. Call (615) 482-5590.

Tell your landlord or property manager right away; the building and its carpet usually belong to them. We can work with you, with management, or both, and your own furniture and belongings can be addressed as well.

For a very small, clean spill caught right away, that may be enough. For anything that has reached the pad or the walls, water stays trapped long after the surface feels dry, which is why we measure moisture instead of guessing.

Usually a few days, depending on the materials and how much water there was. We monitor readings until materials are dry rather than going by a set number of days.

Yes. Once things are dry, carpet, upholstery and hard floors are cleaned so the room is ready to live in again.
