CALL 24/7Water Damage Help in Smyrna, 24 Hours a Day
Call (615) 482-5590 any time, day or night. Deep Steam Floor Care & Restoration has a location in Smyrna at 1231 Rimrock Rd, Smyrna, TN 37167, and we handle water extraction, structural drying, moisture monitoring and cleanup for Smyrna homes and businesses.
While you wait: if water is near outlets, cords or the electrical panel, don’t walk through it. Turn off the water at the main shutoff or the fixture. Pull area rugs off wet carpet so their dyes don’t bleed, put foil or plastic under furniture legs, and take photos before anything is moved.
Where Water Damage Starts in Smyrna Homes
Smyrna has a lot of two-story homes and townhomes built in the last few decades, and that shapes the water calls we get:
- Second-floor laundry rooms. Upstairs laundry is convenient until a washer hose bursts or a drain backs up. Water runs through the floor into the ceiling and walls of the rooms below, so there are two levels to dry, not one.
- Shared walls in townhomes. A supply line failure on one side can show up as wet carpet next door. Moisture mapping shows how far it traveled.
- Slab-on-grade first floors. Water sits on the slab under the pad and doesn’t drain away, which is why extraction matters so much.
- Ice maker, dishwasher and toilet supply lines, water heaters, and AC condensate lines that clog in humid summers.
- Storms and freezes, which push water in at doors and lower levels or split pipes in exterior walls and garages.
From Extraction to Dry
- Inspection. Moisture meters find water under carpet, behind baseboards and in neighboring rooms, even when it doesn’t look wet.
- Extraction. Standing water is removed and as much as possible is pulled out of carpet and pad.
- Removal decisions. We explain, room by room, what can be dried in place and what should be removed, before anything is torn out. When drywall is wet at the bottom, a flood cut may be needed so the wall cavity can dry.
- Drying. Air movers and dehumidifiers dry the structure, not just the surface.
- Monitoring at regular intervals until readings show materials are dry.
- Cleaning. Carpet, upholstery and hard floors are cleaned so the space is usable again.
Rebuilding is a separate step from drying and cleanup.

What Can Be Saved
Clean water from a supply line, caught early, often lets carpet be dried in place, and sometimes the pad too. Pad that has stayed wet or started to smell is usually replaced, which costs much less than new carpet. If the carpet backing has separated, it may need re-stretching or replacement. Gray water from a washer or dishwasher, and black water from sewage, toilet backflow or outside flooding, usually means soaked carpet and pad are removed. LVP and hardwood need to be checked underneath, since water can sit below a floor that looks dry on top.
Pricing and Insurance
Every water loss is different, so the work is priced by the job and the scope is explained before we start. Photos taken before cleanup help with your records and any insurance claim you choose to file. Read more on our main water damage restoration page, or see storm damage and mold remediation if those apply.

Shut off the water to the washer, turn off power to any light fixture in the wet ceiling at the breaker if you can reach it from a dry spot, and call us. Don’t poke into a sagging ceiling yourself.
Sometimes. Water can get under plank flooring through the seams. We check moisture underneath and tell you whether drying in place is realistic or whether planks need to come up.
Yes. Once everything is dry, we clean carpet, upholstery and hard floors as part of the job.
Air movers and dehumidifiers run continuously and do make noise. We place them where they do the most good and adjust as readings improve.
